Hey, Im Lily!

I'm in my mid 20s although I still get told I look about 14... I even got ID'd buying a Costa coffee once (yikes) but I do still sleep with a yellow teddy bear called billy so... 😅.

I'm the face behind Flather Photography, based in Yorkshire and travelling across the UK to capture all sorts of moments. Whether it's just you, a wedding, a couple's shoot, family photos, an event or commercial photography, I absolutely love telling people's stories through images.

I've loved photography for as long as I can remember. It was the only thing I ever wanted to do really, so studying photography at university felt like the obvious choice. I graduated from York St John in 2024, and now I get to do what I've always wanted to do!

I'm definitely more on the quiet side (fellow introverts, I get you!), but don't mistake that for awkwardness! It actually works in my favour. I love helping people feel relaxed and comfortable in front of the camera, without making things feel forced or awkward. Whether it's a wedding day, a family shoot or photographing a business, my aim is always the same: to create a relaxed environment where you can just be yourself.

The best photos aren't the perfectly posed ones (although we'll absolutely get those too!). They're the laughs you weren't expecting, the little glances between people, the excitement, the happy tears, the moments that tell the story of who you are.

When I'm not behind the camera, you'll probably find me out with friends on a hike, planning my next trip, reading a good book, mooching around a shop, convincing myself I need another top... or out in a cafe drinking a matcha (you either love it or hate it, I don't care).

I'm also a Christian, and my faith is a big part of who I am. It reminds me to love people well, treat everyone with kindness, and never take for granted the privilege of capturing such meaningful moments in people's lives.
