'Memories'
In this project the digital camera captures the silent echoes of grief, encapsulating the tangible remnants of loss, immortalizing the objects that serve as a preservation of memory. Each object stands as a silent witness to the connection between the person and their loss. These images were created in the studio using light and shadow to create a dramatic ambience to leave space for reflection and contemplation for both the audience and the individuals involved in the project. Allowing the light to purposely bring praise upon the objects acknowledging their sentimental significance.
This project is important to me due to its personal
impact on my own life, grief is a global experience that I feel can be stigmatised, and through this project, the conversation of grief can be promoted and allow others to share their experience. In this project "Memories," i seek to reveal beauty and produce captivating images that resonate with the viewers, encouraging them to relate and connect with or empathize with her work.
